School's Out! Let's have a toast!

NYC Bound!

As you can see by this set, I'm wishing for an ALL WHITE summer. If you follow me on Twitter or Tumblr, I've actually been saying this for the longest time. All White, all the time.
Woohoo! I survived my junior year of high school! It wasn't easy, let me tell you. There were definitely some moments I had to mutter "High School is just a means to an end" and certainly some "Girl, hold me back!"'s, but I did it! I came home dancing, ready to celebrate. Because I'm a senior now!! Woohoo! One more year! And you think I'd be spending my last summer of true freedom doing something productive, but instead I'm camped up at my house, which isn't right. But believe me, I've got BIG things planned! From FIT summer programs to the hitting the pavement in NYC, I will be more than occupied with life. And I can't wait. Bare with me now, strap yourselves in, and keep all arms and legs inside the seat at all times because we're in for a wild ride...
Hearts Hugs and Lots of Love,
Dream
P.S. Sorry this post was so late. I've been out since May, I just been REALLY REALLY REALLY lazy. And I'm sorry for that. Oh and the set I made DID NOT look like that originally. I don't know what's with it right now. Grr...

Pooh and Corinne Bailey Rae

Blazer- Target, Old Tee, Cargos Pants- Marshalls, Flats (Not shown) Lauren by Ralph Lauren

Sorry, I've been absent. Only 6 more weeks left for school and it's getting down to the wire. Right now, I'm trying to get my summer plans right, decide which colleges to apply to, learning how to drive and still focusing on school. Being a junior is SOOO much stress. Luckily, I have the principles of Taoism, brought to me by "The Tao of Pooh", and the songs of Corinne Bailey Rae to keep me sane.
This photo shoot was actually particularly hard because of the 88 degree weather that day and the fact that my neighbor was actually making fun of me posing during the entire shoot. So there's really not as many photos as I'd like, but I did get some goood shots. Enjoy! And please comment!

Uniform

Old Navy Henley, Lauren by Ralph Lauren Flats, H&M Jersey Skirt

I'm back!!!! This week has been SOOO exhausting. I've been taking the high school graduation exams, which I need to pass in order to earn my diploma. I've been studying everyday and every night after track practice. We finished testing on Thursday and sometime during the week (Don't remember which day, they all seemed to run together) I decided that I reward myself by letting out my legs and wearing a skirt. When it comes to skirts, I have a sort of uniform thing that occurs, with a white shirt and the black skirt. On occasion I switch it up, but then again I wasn't as tired then. Also, this was my first self photoshoot, meaning I had to figure out how to use the self timer and whatnot. I think I did a really good job, considering... But anyway, enjoy!!!!!!!!!! And please comment!!

Mommy and Me!!!

My outfit today. See the effort???

Mom's Juicys and Mine-- We even matched sandals!
So today was rather eventful and it was AMAZING!!! My mom and I had a day out of the house, while my brother and his friends sat in the house playing COD (which I don't understand because the weather was gorgeous, 85 DEGREES!!).  I was feeling a bit different, and decided to put some sort of effort into my look. At first, we ran a few errands, which included grocery shopping. But then, we ventured onto the lower part of the county and went to Chipotle (a restaurant I've never been to). And with the mall just down the street, I had to ask!!!! I didn't buy anything, because I'm so broke I can barely afford to pay attention. In the end, we went window shopping and went home. But anyways, my mommy and me day was amazing!!!!!!

My nails!! Sticking with the New Year's Resolution... Isn't it FAB??
P.S. Did anyone see the moon tonight??? It didn't look any special to me...

Pick Me Up

This is completely non fashion related. Or maybe it is-- To have a sense of style, you need to have a sense of confidence. And let's be honest, everyday might not inspire confidence in you. There are certain days when you wake with a flaw you believe everyone notices. This is for these days.

And with that, go make something phenomal of your day. :)

Do You Have Influence?

Recently, I bought (Huge surprise, right???) some items from Amazon.com, ranging from Kanye West's album MBDTF to Breakfast at Tiffany's (I had never seen it!!!).

The cover of the book. I don't know what it is about it, I just love it.

But anyways, my post aren't dedicated to those items. I set aside some time to read a book I've had mentally bookmarked for awhile, Influence by fashion's favorite twins, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. Influence is the Olsen's collection of interviews of people who influence them. The interviews include MANY legends, such as the always forward, Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano, Terry Richardson and soo many others, including the twins themselves. The book is organized between the two sections: a more glamorous section with glossy pages and one with more egdier people and less glossy pages, whixh is supposed to symbolize the difference between the two twins. Anyways I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Packed full of inspiring images, the book is a slam dunk from the people interviewed, to the questions asked and the reponses. They twins also helped with the important quotes that you may want to put on your personal inspirational board, including "Real Creativity is being true to yourself and getting people to go with you. That's Influence"-- Bob Colacello. And it's not only fashion, in the back after the conclusion, they include a list of charities that anyone with a conscience should give back to. After all, "To be able to have it all, you have to be able to give back"--Diane von Furstenberg.

The back cover. Just amazing, isn't it?? (And no, I don't know which twin that is. I'm just assuming it's Ashley.)

An image from the book. It's piece designed by Karl Lagerfeld from a 2008 collection. Fab, right???

Another incredible image from the book. This is one of Lauren Hutton in her heyday. Beautiful.
A gorgeous picture of Mary Kate Olsen.
Aren't you feening for this book yet?? It's just that fab.

Craving Satisfied: Coats

My name is Dream and I am a coat junkie. Seriously, though, I really do like coats. Coats are my favorite article of clothing. Don't ask me why, because I don't know. I think I get it from my mom. But I digress. So during the After- Christmas sales, my eyes feasted on this beautiful Forever21 black tweed coat. For months, I wanted something like this. However, with only a limited amount of money, I ventured to H&M first to be sure. There at H&M, I saw another coat that completely made me happy. A Houndstooth classic cut that made my mouth water. And it had the red tag that said "50% off." I tried it on and truly just fell in love. It just looked like quality.

From the shoulders to the neckline to the cut, THIS COAT'S A WINNER!!

Look at the fabric... It's just a rich texture.
But, in the midst of all my happiness, I left behind my beloved Forever21 coat. That, and we had to go pick up my vain cousin at the nail salon. But back to the story. Two weeks pass and I really can't stop thinking about the other coat. So when I finally return to the mall, I get super excited and jet down to Forever21. I scour the store twice, before asking a sales associate about the coat. She show the rack to me and lo and behold IT'S THERE!!! And it was the last one, in my size too!!!! *sigh of relief*

Isn't it pretty??? Classic too...
And lastly, the least important thing about this post: My nail polish. It was in my New Year's To Do List to wear more and eh, I've been slacking but I did paint them again. Still a purple but a lighter one, one that screams FUN!!

My left hand. My right as you can imagine is a mess.
But until next time...

Hearts, Hugs and Lots of Love,
Dream
